engines for 50cc deliveries
« on: March 17, 2015, 11:27:27 PM »
hi ya

i have 2 of these deliveries which i use for my small business and unfortunately both engines have failed - they need new cranks, pistons, cylinders etc and the parts from TGB are super expensive. I may have to scrap them if i cant get back on the road cheaply which is a shame as they are tough scooters.

My question is are there any other scooter manufacturers that use these same engines which i could perhaps look for a used one locally. If so what is the model/name of the engine that i could search for ?

One of the deliveries is 2004 and the other 2009 - i was told they are different engines due to the oil pump being cable operated on the older one vs being vacuum operated on the later one. This is going from memory of what I was told so may not have described the technology correctly but definitely a difference in the way the oil is delivered to the engine.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

haven't heard of anyone really swapping motors

but it can be done  but you might have to add attachment places for
 other motors.
also parts are not that expensive compared  to a new motor or a
