I have a 2018 TGB Delivery 50cc bike. I noticed when re-fueling my bike today that all the pumps at BP have 10% ethanol. I filled my tank, but is that safe to put in my engine?

Express 50 Delivery Scooter / Re: Servicing
« Last post by harry on January 29, 2021, 02:23:13 PM »
when i bought a old boat with a 1950's johnson/evenrude  motor i found
it was a good idea to learn about the motor and do my own repairs.

changing the gear oil and tightening up the rear  brakes  is about what you need to do.

the gear oil(80-90w hypoid oil) is important as the flash and other metal that comes off the gears
as your scoot gets broken in (BTW i usually do the oil at 300miles)

Express 50 Delivery Scooter / Servicing

I am due for a service on my new bike sometime in the spring. TGB doesn’t seem to have any dealers within Indiana anymore. Where would I start in finding someone locally who would carry out an annual service? Most people like Honda won’t even touch a Taiwanese bike due to the possible breakage of parts.

TIA

hey Steve,
Yeah they were not up to resolving any issue in a timely fashion.
did you buy the scooter from them?
If so hope you have good luck with the scooter as far as breakdowns go and not have any.

I did buy it direct from them, and it was brand new. I don’t expect any mechanical problems for many years. It is working great right now. It is just the parts situation I am concerned about.

i found that  those  TGB people were people i didn't want to do any business with.
i had a customer that needed a seat and bucket.
they took my money and i didn't see the seat for over a year my customer was pissed.
good luck getting parts from them, they rarely had any when i needed them  .
when they get ready to make a order they would have
it shipped via air parcel and that is very costly and they will pass on the costs to you.

always use no ethanol  gas; oct rating 90
good luck

You were right Harry.  I had that bike a few months and the cargo box key snapped. He asked me for the number of the key, which I gave him. I can’t remember how long ago that was - as I have not been able to get back on this board for a while - but I am still waiting to hear back from him. It has to be over 6 months back. I thought it might be better to just order a complete lock and key set. So I am not getting much help with parts.

« Last post by STAGE6R50X on August 10, 2020, 11:14:01 PM »
Hey all im new the forums just a question somebody maybe able to answer, i have a 09 r50x an the damn red plug cdi.... i have purchased 2 unrestricted cdi's already one green and one white, nither ran the engine lol. my question is... is it as simple as swapping a few wires or is it the magneto that is restriced as well? do i stop my suffering and just buy a digital ignition an be done with it? to put into context im building decently worked 70cc lc conversion big carb intake etc and was going to go MVT internal rotor down the track either way as it seems the unrestricted boxes are only good for 12000rpm? also does anyone have a clear wiring diagram by anychance?
cheers in advance

TGB R50X / Re: Will idle but will cut out and die after riding 300ft

don't remove the choke somewhere on this site i posted a how to test it.
they don't go bad very often.

test the fuel shut off and the vacuum line to make sure fuel flows freely .
and for holes or cracks in the vac line.

also look at the fuel filter make sure fuel flows freely.

clean & oil the air filter. check the snorkel too for blockage.
