Any body know how to re-calibrate the speedometer on an 07 R50X?

When I got this bike the speedometer sensor was broken.  I found an aftermarket speed sensor and installed it.  It jumps from 0 to 40ish to 140ish then pegs it at 199.  I thought maybe it was just a bad sensor so I ordered one from a TGB dealer, installed it and it does the same thing.  I was hoping there was a way to re-calibrate the cluster.  I am not interested in changing the odometer.  I just would like to kinda know how fast/slow I am going and the approximate mpg and mileage for service intervals.

thats a digital unit so i would suppose there is a reset button, could
be just a tiny hole the size of a paper clip.
but it just might be made tamper proof  . since its illegal to
turn back a odometer.

as to recalibrating because you have a bigger tire or something
no idea ,, unless the pigtail was the computer connector  they use
to set it up or might be the chip is flashed while the
board is out of the plastic case.
