I have a 2007 TGB outback 425 SE 4x4 and my battery is not getting a proper charge, checked all my connections, brand new battery and still the battery light comes on sometimes I measured the voltage when the quad is running and if I leave the headlights off the voltage goes to a normal 14.4 when I turn the headlight on it slowly starts to drop, also I have changed the headlights from regular incandescent 55watt bulbs to HIDs which only draw 35watts (and are just simply better in every way then a halogen), and also changed the tail lights to LED bulbs, it almost seems like when the battery light comes on the system is not sending a charge to the battery but when its off its getting a slow and weak charge which leads me to believe its a charge rectifier that needs to be changed or is it more of a charging coil I need to change?
