Dear friends please do your best to help me out with this little problem, I think I am overlooking a simple thing (back to basics:)
I have a TGB R50x (2009) (Engine number GH5*632645*) which was running a few months ago, I bought it off my apprentice (Not running) so he could buy something bigger.
It has only done 800 miles and all components are as new. The spark is weak and erratic and after a few seconds of turning there is no spark at all.
What I have done so far;
*Replaced fuel and checked lines for delivery. ALL OK
*Stripped and cleaned carb. (like new) ALL OK
*Stripped and cleaned oil pump. All OK
*Checked all mechanical components (Like new) full compression.
*Disconnected all wiring and metered for continuity. (No shorts) ALL OK
*Replaced spark plug (3 times) now on BPR7HIX IRIDIUM. PLUG IS OK
*Replaced coil for NARAKU high performance. COIL IS OK
*Replaced CDI twice, (got original red plug, new green plug and new Naraku Racing CDI unit without speed limit. CDI OK
*Checked battery. 12.5v when charged. Kicks the engine over with no probs.
So onto the Stator:
Pulled the stator and it is dated 2006?! (All looks as new)
Metered the stator windings and got values of; Two leads that goto rectifier to ground= 0.8 ohms, black/red lead that goes to CDI 350 ohms. pickup tranducer to ground 235 ohms.
Metered voltages from stator (whilst cranking) rectifier= 9vac, CDI= 49vac, pickup= 0.5vac.
**Metered voltages to spark coil (whilst cranking) 9vac & 25vDC. also with ignition switch on there seems to be a contant 9.5 volts DC going to the ignition coil from the CDI which goes upto 25vDC when cranking..
***Metered coil secondary output with 2 different plug caps (And without) and get almost no voltage ac or dc!!
What can it be and where can I get parts from because Ive been googlin for days!
