Currently my scooter unmodified.
If someone was to alter a r50x for off road purposes what weight rollers want u use to increase speed/ heavier ones. And would u cut the brown wire into cdi or replace the cdi or both.
Finally my front brake is griping into the front wheel and the engine won't start with the buttn meaning it needs to be kick started.
If any one has a solution to any of the above I would be grateful.
Note: I'm also chancing the spark plug, air filter and belt.

at one time the key west was called a "101s offroad scooter"
cutting the wire works( and don't cut it disconnect it) about 20% of the time
thats old info.
upping the weight of the rollers
will give better top end but you lose low end take off.
changing them to sliders helps
some guys report good results and others say nothing changed when
swapping out the cdi for a racing one.
really what the cdi does is allow the motor to use/develop more rpms
but to do so you need a pipe, carb or cylinder kit.
you might check to see if you still have a restictor in the variator.
whats your top speed now?
as for the brake please explain more or post a picture.
try holding in the right brake in when you start the scooter
the right switch might be bad.
