Has anyone had issues with the lower leg shield cracking. The crack starts at the kickstand and travels under the scoot. I replaced the shield once at a dealers with a new one and a week later it cracked again.  Is this common for the 2007 laser9 ?  Can I fix the plastic? or Is it a flaw design? I spoke with a dealer and they didn't think this was common.

can I get it inspected with this crack?

I like my laser 9 150 runs well and feels solid no complaints for a fist scooter.

Any help or advice would br great :)

never seen or heard about that.
sounds like the frame is flexing or maybe the attachment points are
not in the right place or something
you could try to fix the plastic but sounds like it will just crack again
i doubt that a crack in the plastic would keep you from having a inspection

My thought was a frame issue as well.  I need to get it inspected,  I hope it will pass with the crack.

Thanks

I know this is an old topic, but I wanted to say that my R9 also cracked on the lower plastic area. It did this when I jumped it over some of those really big speed bumps. Not the steep ones, but the slightly sloped ones that you can hit fast. I imagine the frame flexed enough to make it crack. I never had any cracking issues until I did that. Cracks in the plastic should not affect the inspection in any way since they are not structural and plenty of scooters and bike do not even have plastic fairings. If it really bothers you then just "stop drill" the crack and fiberglass the back side. Since the fiberglass will be on the inside you can be as messy as you like and nobody will ever see it.
