How to test a CDI....

Just ordered the Honda Dio Elite Spree CDI hoping it will work with the R50X. How can I test it?

Just plug it in and fire it up? Can I kill myself basically?

any test procedure that is documented is in
the manual here;

if it works it will start;
if not it, will burst in to flame and your pants will catch on fire
when the gas tank explodes and burn down your garage or parents house.
