Got a 2010 r50x and the rev ometer is not working. Ran all the wires back etc.. and all are connected. checked the the dash motherboard and no obvious signs of damage.
anyone else had this problem ?

sorry, i've never worked on a tach problem on a R50x
but let us know what you find out. here's what i glean from the manuals
i looked at the wiring diagram but
http://www.peirspeed.com/Cobrasales/docs/TGB-R50X-Wiring-Diagram-20091118.pdf
really don't see a sensor
however looking at the speedo assy in the parts book
http://www.peirspeed.com/Cobrasales/parts/tgb/R50X%20%28BM1-U%29%20Parts%20Book%20rev%2020100112.htm
i see a cable like a standard speedo but it looks like it goes to the
tach
if so its a cable or gear problem in the front wheel .
remove the cable from the front wheel & tach and check the ends are not broken..
at least thats my best guess hope it works out for you

The speedo runs off a cable that leads to the front wheel, that is all fine as functions correctly. Sadly the revs do not, do you have any idea where it runs to on the engine ?

as i said there is no sensor on the wiring diagram that i can see ..
if there was one it should be at the transmission (gearbox) or
some where near the crank or flywheel
