Hi ,
I have recently purchased a low mileage 101s , I have checked off most of the derestricting stuff & am very happy with the way it runs, where I live I'm close to to the beach & some dirt tracks as well , I'm considering putting the widest tire I can fit on the rear of the  scooter for a little more flotation to make the scooter abit more dual purpose ... at present it has the knobby 120/90/10 tires front & rear , the manual says it'll take up to 130/90/10  & i'm thinking with alittle modification to the exhaust mounting I can fit a 140/90/10 in there .
has anyone done this or have any knowledge to pass on??? i'd be gratefull to hear your opinions before I decide to take the plunge.

the  case is also your limitation on tire size
i would just put the 130 on and leave it at that.

Hi oilyhans,
thanks for your input  :)... looking at the scooter I have more clearance between the tire & the case than I do between tire & the exhaust thats what makes me think I can squeeze a 140 in there with minimal mods to exhaust mounting, I do think the 140 would be the absolute limit before the tire rubs the case ..was just curious hoping someone may have already done this & could enlighten me on what to expect.
