sunset not starting

my sons scooter sat for 5 years and now tying to start it. flushed all old gas out and cleaned carb. it fires when you spray carb cleaner in it but will not stay running for over 5 seconds.2007 sunset.

thats great you got that far, many never heard of 'liquid dynamite'
and you narrowed it down to fuel issue.

if possible use high grade non ethanol fuel.

so check fuel flow
get a big syringe from pharmacy or craft store,
remove fuel line at carb & stick it in a bottle
remove vac line from carb & put syringe tip in hose and
pull plunger .... you should see fuel flow.
possible plugged line or filter

clean the carb again,  jets & passages are possibly plugged
or got bad fuel from filter or lines, also clean air filter and box
bees or wasps like the small hole in the air box for nests.

I found once that the fuel pipe under the tank had collapsed, fixed that and it was all good
