New Bullet. Questions about performance mods

Hello,

I purchased a new Bullet, a Malossi 70cc kit, and a Tecnigas pipe to be installed at the dealer/shop. I've been reading conflicting information about restrictions on the scoot. A brass ring, CDI, and variator. Some reports say the CDI should be changed out and some say it has no effect. Is the brass ring in the exhaust? What kind of performance can I expect with the bbk and pipe?

Thank you

the brass ring is in the variator, its job is to make the bushing a bit bigger.
the stock cdis are set to a lower top rpm(8-9k) so that means not as high speed as
the motor can produce. it also has do with which cdi you buy!
usually 5-7 mph more and a bit more toque at take off. however that depends on the guy doing
the tuning ,if he is real good you might get 1-3 mph more.

i own a scooter shop  with rentals ,sales& racing parts.
i also appraise scooters for KBB.

Ah okay. So get a new variator or can the brass ring be removed? Is there one you recommend along with a CDI?
