Hello Fellas,

I've heard so many things about the CDI unit. One guy told me the CDI can naturally go over 7500 and reach up to levels of 11000

Also, can't you derestrict the CDI by simply snipping a wire? Thus not having to buy an unrestricted unit...

some cdi's can be de restricted by snipping a wire, while others can't
7,500 rpm is the max you get with restriction on most cdi's
10 or 11k is only  achievable  from a unrestricted cdi.

 there is also a very small main jet(another restriction) #60 in the carb.
add the variator ring & exhaust restriction . so you have a lot to do ...
