TGB Delivery 50cc modifications

OK, just curious about modifications to the subject unit.  With full derestricting, performance
muffler, rejetting, and a racing type air filter what would be a realistic increase in top speed and
cruising speed. No changes in rollers planned.
I have 550 miles on this unit and have broken it in carefully. At 230 lbs it is a heavy scoot for
a 49.3 cc engine. And bear in mind that I know that I could have bought a 150cc unit but chose the49.5cc
unit because of my interest in 2 stroke engines. If I really want to run fast I have a Tank Touring 150 and250 that are more than fast enough.
Any comments are welcome.

as far as i know the delivery has the same motor as all the other tgb 50cc
scoots. the sunset is the same scooter but for the trunk and thats my basis.

have you removed the brass washer yet? you will get some more speed  about 6-8mph.
and "full derestricting" means what?

stock cdi is limited to 7500rpm. add that to the list .
take a look at the intake manifold  its tiny, that is the restriction that is hard
to remedy.

rollers should be replaced with sliders .
if you put in a pipe (and many pipes come with) do the weights & you should  do springs too.

as you may know the carb is a tiny 13mm and so is the main jet at #60 (FYI :vino 2t stock MJ is #64)
maybe  stepping up to a 17mm carb might not be a bad idea.
if you just do a pipe and jets you should see 9-12mph

Thanks for the reply, Oilyhans. So far the brass washer has been removed, Full derestricting means
that the CDI has been replaced with one that does restricts RPM's to 11500, MRP muffler installed,
intake manifold has not been checked, rollers and springs have not been replaced yet. carb is stock
with larger main jet. As it now stands, pickup is much improved but top speed on level is 38-39 mph,
downhill it will hit 43. Speeds checked by GSP.
A n MRP air filter is on order and will be installed next week. It would seem that I need to install a
larger 17mm carb, sliders and springs. I am having a lot of fun with this unit and it has become my
main ride. Would like to get it into the cruising speed of 40-45 and a top of 50 if possible. TGB makes a
great scooter in my opinion.
Your input is greatly appreciated as is your sharing of your expertise.

sounds like the last thing besides the carb & perhaps a bigger jet or 2
is the 70cc kit that will give you more low end and some top
making you more rpm  which is speed is the end result.

do swap out the weights for sliders

if you need any more mrp parts  check out my site
