Hey folks

Just joined on here so looking forward to discussing or helping in any way I can.
Reason for joining is simple. Just aquired a TGB 202 classic it looks very similar to a Delivery but without the box.
Basically it has a completely shot engine and was to uneconomical to repair for the customer so I have taken it off his hands as a scrapper!
I'm going to rebuild the engine to a higher spec ie 70 kit exhaust big carb etc etc.
As I  have a Dyno I will be able to chart my progress with the modifications and keep you informed as such.
BTW I am not in any way trying to tout for business Im busy enough as it is!
If i can be of any assistance to you guys then I will of course dont hesitate to ask. :)

hey Dyno dude,
the scooter you have is also called the Sunset here in the US.

dyno info  would be great ,however a stock benchmark
would be a starting place and then as you add parts
we could see the effect of the improvements .

Let me know if you need any stock or performance parts.

Hey Harry

Thanks for the info. As the engine is completely screwed its not going to be possible to run as a standard bike. I've run bikes like this before and seen only about 3.5 hp at the rear wheel so I would expect the same from this one.
I am expecting something like 11 hp at the rear wheel with all the mods planned. I am looking to fit a pollini 70 kit and raise the compression along with a 21mm mikuni or dellorto carb, havnt decided on exhaust yet .What would you recommend? I have just purchased a brand new crankshaft std hopefully it'll be strong enough!
BTW what cost are the pollini kits from yourself? Are you based in the states?

one of the other 50cc scooters that i am a dealer for included a
chart of each scooter they sold with  approximately  5hp
at the output shaft and  3hp at the wheel   also.  kinda standard i guess

will you be milling the cylinder , head or piston?
porting?
or just bolt on and test? perhaps bolt on test and then mill etc & test?
it would be interesting to compare the standard vs machined parts there too .

lots of pipes out there and so little time  .. turbokit , mrp brand , polini , molissi
check my site whidbeyparts.com  & use the search
for hyosung, tgb or morini  and you will find stuff

Thats exactly what I will be doing just getting the thing up and running with the parts as supplied and then tuning the kit at a later date. This makes sense as it will enabe me to see what characteristics the engine has in terms of power delivery etc. Also it will ensure that the engine is bedded in!
I did have a Derbi 70 race bike on my Dyno a few months ago that a friend of mine had tuned with very good results 19.57 hp at the rear wheel this was of course a geared conventional engine but never the less just goes to show what a 70cc engine is capable of!
