losing power once I am getting to 7500RPM

I have had my 2006 r50x for about 3 months and my throttle cable broke so I had the dealer replace it and then I drove the moped about 25 miles and it was running great and then I was driving and it lost power on the top end.  It was going about 40mph and now it only is going 34mph down hill.  It accelerates like it always has but once it gets to 32mph or 7500RPM it loses power and slows down a bit.   Any ideas what it could be.

I thought that also but it was going up to 10,000 rpm before... and now it only does 7500.  To me that means I have an unrestricted cdi but now something else is going on.

PS oilyhans  I thing I bought a vacuum shutoff from you for my wifes tgb key west last night.

yes  if you were getting 10k rpm   it is a unlimited cdi. so that
wouldn't be it...
check that the carb slide is opening all the way. and check that there
is not too much play in the cable   loose cable---> slide not opening all the way

yes someone named Matt bought a shutoff & 2 #65 jets
i guess that was you? thanks for the support!
did you remove the shutoff valve and compare the picture to
the one you have?
btw;many of the TGB's use a in-tank valve..

I check and it is the same.  The valve was right number the gas tank.

Think when I got my new throttle cable installed the service center must not installed it correctly because it is very loose.  I think it is missing the part that holds the cable into the handle of the bike.  I thought there was a metal piece that held it in place and a screw holding that.  now there is nothing but a nut and and empty screw hole.   Do you have a new throttle cable with everything on it?  I am not happy with my dealer right now.

many TGB parts are just for  certain years of scooter
so if you have a scooter with a  serial number from
XXXXXXXXX  to  XXXXXXXX you use this part ;if its
 XXXXXXXX& above use that part.
so  i need your vin# to get the right part for you.

but first see if you can adjust the slack out of the one you have
there should be 2 barrel adjusters  one at the elbow  by the
grip and one at the carb
