just wondering but did you pre mix at all?
1 or 2% in the tank  is recommended any time
you kit a scoot.
the other thing is  open filters are really not the best choice
 they lean out the scoot  too much.

wow that is so weird that you had that happen..the 50cc kit should of worked
perhaps it was installed wrong like the rings were not in the right place
in the groves and the ring gap wasn't lined up with the pins
 as for the rollers vs. sliders i think your mechanic  just put in
the rollers 'cause  its all they had.

there are some 90 & 100cc 2t's  made by Keyway  perhaps
you could look into those?

your right ,poor install  or reused clip.
if your sticking to 50cc ,before you  install
you might want to compare the exhaust port with
the pipe and grind the port open a bit.
 that will give you more power and help make the pipe
work better at 50cc.
