Apparently my dealer is still a little green. . . Even though they claimed to do a thorough prep on my scooter, I have had enough little tweak issues that I have started to go through things more carefully. The good part is that I am learning a lot about my scooter!
One of the things they forgot to do was oil the air filter. I cleaned it, let it dry, and then made sure it was impregnated with 90w oil. I squeezed all the excess oil out and put the filter back in place.
It might be my imagination. . . but I think I lost a couple of mph off the top end and some power going up hills after this. Does the oil in the filter end up restricting air flow a little bit? If so, is there anything I can do to safely open things up a little bit?
