simply ,17x12 rollers
and 17x12 &16x13 sliders work in TGB (Morini) variators.
they will work in any 'standard' variator they are made for.

the exception is TurboMax (variators) which has their own system.
they use  more weights ,which work different than the standard roller
and the variator is totally different .

I got them fit. I have lost a little bit of take off speed, not much.

Still hits the rev limit however and wont go any higher. Not sure about heavier ones as they will decrease take off too much.

Any Ideas? Could do with an Unlimited CDI but as nobody knows of one. what can i do?

have you changed the torque and clutch springs?
you need 1500rpm.

there is a new CDI but my supplier is out of stock
they claim it works on R50X, but, it too is a 5 wire
and pricey @ $85

Could you link me to the things I would need from your website? Its really annoying me now.

Also how much would they be?

And I was looking at that CDI on MRP. Is this CDI the same one that you linked me too.

Also, My bike only really picks up at 6500 Revs and it fires from 30 to 45MPH before hitting the Limiter.

I need it so that it revs lower and doesnt hit the rev limit, but not take so much take off speed that its dangerous to ride.

the cdi that i posted yesterday is different than the the one on eday and my supplier is out of stock.
the eday cdi is the same one i sell and that is in stock.'
 compare the pictures;

they are different cdi's.

perhaps you should gamble and buy the eday cdi  or buy it from me .

if you get it let me know if it works as i want to find one that works with the R50x.

i have a Keywest (101s) that i can test stuff  but  the R50x is different.

pm me a list of what you want i will get the links for you.

Think I might try getting that CDI?

Also, I need the parts that will bring my Revs down so that it doesnt reach the 8k rev limit and it can pass 50mph (Hopefully).

Ive got a Tecnigas Next R Pipe on it. Changed rollers from 8Gram to 10.5Gram and it now gets 48 and pops petrol from the exhaust when it hits the limit at 45.

What do I need to bring the revs down so it doesn't keep hitting the rev limit.

Also, I have some Dr Pulley Sliders coming along next week 8Gram the same as the stock rollers just in slider form. Hopefully this will regain my acceleration I lost when getting the 10.5Gram Rollers put in.

Anything I should be getting so it gets to 8k revs at around 50mph?

the R50x has 2 sets of gears available.
more aggressive gearing will make you go faster  without increasing motor rpm....
01    427529    SHAFT, DRIVE 15T    1    â†660506
01A    427509B    SHAFT, DRIVE  12T    1    660507→

04    427535    GEAR, FINAL DRIVEN 35T    1    â†660506
04A    427533    GEAR, FINAL DRIVEN  41T    1    660507→

08    427539    SHAFT COMP., IDLE  51T/10T    1    â†660506
08A    427531    SHAFT COMP., IDLE  49T/11T    1    660507→

you can tell which sets you have by those numbers ~~ 660,XXX -->
match them up to your motor serial number...

by nature a expansion pipe increases the rpm thats why
many pipe mfgs provide (3-5gr)weights with the pipe....

I will record myself on it for you so you can see the problem I am getting. Will nip out in 30 minutes and put it on youtube. You may be able to see a problem.

Baring in mind all I have done to it is change the pipe to a Tecnigas and changed the rollers to 10.5.

Here is the video (there are 2)

Not great quality as its on my phone on a bumpy road in the rain. I will try and record a better one tomorrow in the day on a flat road with a proper camera.

It hits the limit at 44MPH as you can probably hear. The revs dial goes from 8k to 6k but goes to 45MPH.

When I go down a really long hill. It will flicker onto 47MPH and the revs dial will drop to 2k and the exhaust will pop like crazy.

Just need to get the revs down so that It can sit on 8000 revs and go down hills smoothly.

May have found an Unrestricted CDI for the TGB R50X. Not sure if it will work, but just seen it and it says "TGB and Honda Dio performance 5 pin CDI ignition
This is a real nifty performance CDI that fits in your stock ignition holster. This fits all the TGB 2strokes and Honda Dio engines including the Daelim S5. $19.95"

Also another one says "5 pin Performance CDI
Racing CDI for the TGB 2strokes and Honda Dio's like the Spree, Elite. Unrestricted with an advanced timing curve. $24.95"

Reckon they would work, if you think they may have a chance I can buy one and try it. Then you will know.
