I wish we could get more people to share ideas, experiences and maintenance help.

Apparently tgb owners are not forum readers . . . :-\  It would be nice to see more of us on here. Spread the word!

I'll post a link from PEIRSPEED.com and it should help drive some traffic here.

That would be GREAT.  I think it is so important for owners to share ideas and experiences and I bet the owner of this site would really appreciate it.

fellow TGB dealers  but doesen't seem that there has been a big increase

what's up fellas  ;D

I'm glad to see such a forum exists.

I have a 2007 Laser R5. Note: There are no posts on that forum

I top out at 37.5 on flat land. I assume the CDI restrictor is of partial blame along with the spacer.

I bought some parts. I'm not sure whether it's a wholesome, compatible purchase or not. I'm not sure if I'm putting the cart before the horse in some cases.

Here is what I just purchased:

I thought I would go MRP for compatibility.

MRP Exhuast
Dr. Pully 16x13 8 gram weights
MRP Variator
MRP Clutch
MRP Bell

With this installation will there be any crutches. For example must I buy a kevlar belt, etc?

With these upgrades what should I expect out of my current 37.5 mph scooter?

Also, what color cable do I snip to unrestrict the CDI

Thanks so much;
                      Nick

do you still have a stock carb? its on the small side along with a small main jet
13mm carb & a #60 M.jet
that will be your next need items...
at least get a 17-18mm carb

i did notice you have 16x13 weights,, they will work but the TGB's use 17x12
also if you have  both the same size clutch bell & clutch  they won't work together
eg; you want a  105mm clutch and a 107mm bell. you will want to change the clutch springs too

FYI: Many pipe mfg's supply weights with their pipes they typically use 4-6gr weights.
the pipe will give you lots of to end and the lighter weights give you the
take off speed you want.
