make sure that there are no air leaks in the fuel/intake system.
spray (when scooter is running) some wd40 around the connections
,, hose / intake / carb .. if the motor changes rpm or starts to die
you have a air leak  in the general area.

So if i can get it to start again with rag blocking carb, spray wd40 all around the air intake carb area and if it revs then its got a leak, and could the idle screws be all the way in,then turn them 2 turns to start with thanks

Got another question harry,if i have a leak where exhaust meets head will that cause fast rpm at start up???,i forgot to put that circle gasket that came with my head kit (exhaust gasket) so thats where its coming from, should it go down after i fix that( the high rpm at start up) and its smoking really bad,i think the oil pump is sti ll working, including the 3 oz i added to fuel to make sure i didnt seize new pistons cause wasnt sure if it worked but it does,it smokes so bad i felt like i was in a bogg in medevil london swamp!!!! Lol : )

yes it will smoke more than usual with the extra oil
and with the oil you really have less gas so you are
slightly lean... but thats ok..
put in the gasket ,it will quite down the noise.

also did you put in a 70cc kit?
did you up jet? if not your really lean and that will make it
run fast..

No just a 50 cc kit,its all the guy had in stock till spring,so i found another issue the throttle spring wasnt seated all the way diwn in carb,it slowed down alot when i fixed that,it still idles ok for a few sec then goes high roms again, where does that little circle gasket go on the exhaust where it meets the head or the second place where the exhaust meets together, also hen i start it oil lamp comes on is that normal and how long does it stay on????

light should go off  in about 30-60 seconds after the scooter motor starts.
the gasket goes at the head.

you might look at the parts manual and service manuals which
will answer most your questions. they are located at the bottom
of the forum home page.
