Can i bring back the old 06 tgb R5 series for some help and future resolution?

I am working on my bike and it seems to have a Mikuni Japanese made carb, i am not sure if this is the stock carb or a replacement so i just wanted to know about replacing this bikes carb entirely, upjetting, air filter replacement..is this all necessary?

id really just like to stick with a 70cc bbk upgrade and be done with it so i can get back and forth to work.

i dont mind adding pictures of the carb already installed if it helps at all please ask though.

last thing, would this carburetor work with my bike
 MIKUNI, (18mm) 2T, 1E40QMB

im not saying that is the carb ill buy. But if it would fit my bike then i'll have the information i need regarding a carb upgrade.

i usually use the stock carb with a cylinder kit and just up jet.
 no other changes needed.

Thanks OilyHans i really appreciate the knowledge.

i guess i didn't need to research so much after all. :)

im just going to rebuild the stock carb upjet it and add a nice air filter to the mix.

You saved me a ton of money.. however now after reading and through all my research its not a bad idea to add a carb when i can buy a new one for 40$ assuming i chose the right one for the job

honestly , i have had the best luck using the stock air box
and just up jetting the carb with a cylinder kit.

i never recommend a open filter at all .... too much fussing about
keeping the scooter tuned  when there is a change in weather.
