How to Identify Engine type

Hi All,

New to this forum and proud owner of a new TGB Bullet 50RS 2012  .

My question is how do you identify the type of engine that is installed on the bike. e.g. GY6, Franco Morini.

Reason being is in the future, past the first service that is, I might look at upgrading things like exhaust, CDI etc.

well a morini is a 2 stroke and a gy6 is a 4 stroke

yeah the GY6 was just an example.

 the specs i  found say its a 2 stroke  ..  its a safe guess it is a morini like
rest of the TGB's.
whats the serial number ?  you will find it at the back of the motor
engraved on the flat spot a bit below the oil fill  for the
tranny.

well that serial doesn't  look  right  at least not a US serial?
 so i assume your in Australia. UK or Canada?
