So im working on an 09 TGB KW, i cleaned the carb, took it around for a test run, it went about 1/4 mile, and diesels out like its not getting gas,on a whim, i pull the plug and checked spark, got none. A few minutes later, it came back. I replaced the ign coil, retested, same thing happened 1/4 mile after the engine is all nice and warm enough to burn my hand on the plug it will NOT spark, i tried another plug- nothing, a few minutes later as it cooled a bit it would spark again, but die after a few blocks AGAIN. my other guess would be CDI or pickup/stator replacement... i checked the wires, no damage really, although the starter wires right next to the stator pickup wires are sketchy and sometimes will not start using the button, im guessing theyre broken somehow or the heat is beating up the wiring? anyone have anything similar happen? anyone know where to get full wire sets or stator pickups for TGB/peirspeed?

well it could be the coil ... cdi's usually work or don't
the pickup coil is part of the stator an wired in  so you
have to replace both  @ $100  you want to be sure, and
they rarely go out.

check the wiring diagram in the service manual , there is a link
at the bottom of the forum home page.
make sure you have continuity on all wires

also  bad plugs can have weird effects.
its a good measure to replace yours  its cheap

as for parts pm me i'm a TGB dealer and have the go fast
stuff too.

It was the CDI box, ran it til spark disappeared, then touched the CDI box...it got super hot, to where it burnt my hand. i replaced it with a DC box but i think i may have needed the AC? now, its really hard to start, and dies within a few seconds tried to adjust idle, and i noticed someone sealed the A/F screw with gasketmaker. ???
hate these damn finicky bikes.

yeah electronic parts don't like heat ,most say operating
temp 35-130 degrees
why didn't you just buy one for tgb's? the
racing kind have metal fins good for cooling .

air screw setting is 3/4 -1/2 turn out
