Ok another question i got a 19mm carb now with an mrp pipe,i moved up to an 80 m.j and my needle setting is at secound grove from the bottom of needle,my needle has 5 groves,i rode the scoot to work the other day and got it up to 40-45 mph but didnt want to stay at that high of speed for to long,so i kept  cruise speed to 35mph,im running 8gr rollers because i didnt have any power frm 3gr all the way to 7grs,i lost my take off though so i ordered some 1500 rpm clutch springs and might order main spring today(1500rpm),should i keep the 80 m.j or go down to a 75,also ordered a tach so i can see what my rpms are doing, will going to 9gr weights give me a little more topend?

what does the plug color look like?
if its really black go down one step on the jet at a time  80,77.5,75
till the plug looks light chocolate brown.

just changing the clutch springs really isn't right
you should really match  both the main(torque) spring & clutch springs

generally  heavier the weight gives more top end, the lighter the weight
for faster  take off ;  & of course there is a optimum .
usually i go about 2 gr over stock .
a race variator will also give you more top end up to 5mph

Thanks as always,we are getting ready to get slammed by huricane sandy so had to take scooter to brothers house cause im at sea level,im lioking at variators now and debating on the mrp or malossi,i did a plug read at wot for a few miles pulled over and she was carmel brown so i think the 80 m.j is fine, where would i order new performance gears for the transmission? And how many teeth should i be looking for,if u can link me to the ones i can use would be great, ive found some but are not sure if they will work with my scooter thanks again harry!!!!

honestly  i don't know of any up gear kits for TGB's
TGB does have 2 different gear setups that are listed for the r50x
in the parts manual   you might take a look
