I have a small dead spot at 3/4 throttle from a stand still, was wondering if this is slight flooding of the carby, could changing spark plug or spark plug gap rectify this.

Are you rolling on teh throttle from a stand still or just wacking it open?  I wonder if it is a carb thing or something electronic?  Does it happen at the same spot in the RPM's?

I probably won't have any answers for you since I am not a mechanic but maybe some questions will help diagnose :D

It happens when i gas it from a stand still and when moving at relatively low speed, but not all the time. Ispoke to the dealer and he reckons it is slight flooding of the carby and said to not hold it open, apart from that he couldn't or wouldn't give me more advice, I tried opening the plug gap slightly but there was no change, i un hooked the rev limiter wire but still happens 80% of the time, thanks for your help.

Cobra in the past did sell a   C.D.I (UNLIMITED SPEED).
way better than cutting a wire because that doesn't really work.
Ask your local dealer or me to get you one.
