R50X Miss-firing

Hi all,

First off, I'll explain what happened and then what I have done so far.

I started my bike without any problems and went in to town to see my wife.
I drove at about 30 mph most of the way (1.5 miles) there and had no problems.
I had lunch with my wife and then tried to start the scooter again, it would not start (kick or electric)
I walked the bike home and started to diagnose the problem.

There was no spark going across the plug
I have replaced the following parts

  • Spark plug
    • CDI (unrestricted)
    • Coil pack

Now my bike will start (after the CDI was swapped out) how ever, when it gets to about 6k rpm it starts to miss-fire and will not go any faster that 15mph.
I have adjusted the fuel / air mixture to see if that would make any difference (it didnt)

Is there anything else that I can try to get the power back in my scooter?

    Thanks in advance

well  you need 2 things to make that scooter run.
    spark and fuel.
you say the electrical parts are new and of course you've confirmed you have spark?
     so that leaves fuel.
clean the idle & choke system for starters....maybe confirm you have good fuel flow.
