Where the TGB name came from....

Ever wonder how the name Taiwan Golden Bee was coined?  From the New Hampshire Scooter Club comes this bit of trivia:

TGB (Taiwan Golden Bee) started manufacturing scooters in Taiwan in 1978 under a licensing agreement with Piaggio (Vespa).  They manufactured OEM Vespas for the Asian markets.  Vespa is Italian for wasp (golden bee), hence the name Taiwan Golden Bee (TGB).

Now I get it.  Taiwan Golden Bee is a ridiculous name for a scooter that looks like a jet fighter (r50x).  I new that TGB used to make Vespas  but never knew what it meant.  Nice.....
