Fuel gauge not working

Hi All,

I have a 2006 TGB Laser R5 and the fuel gauge is not working. I checked the sending unit with an Ohm meter and it seems to be good. Followed the Green/White wire all the way to the back side of the gauge with the meter and all seems well. Could the gauge itself be shot? If so can it be repaired or replaced? Not even sure where to find one.

Thanks Oilyhans,

My vin ends in 651273 and I don't have any chrome trim. So it looks like the one I'm looking for is 457098 - GAUGE ASSY., FUEL LEVEL. How do we handle the transaction? I've bought from your site before, whidbeyislandmoped.com, but don't see the gauge listed there.
Thanks for your help.

i'll set up a page on my site for you if you really need one

are you sure its hooked up and not loose or dirty connections?
you tested the sensor and it changes in resistance?
the service manual might give you some stats or a troubleshoot .

Oilyhans,

I tested the tank sending unit and resistances changes when it moves. All connections up to the gauges are good. I pulled the gauge out and now I can hear something rattling around in it. So I need a new one.
