r50x jet size

If I get a k&n style air filter, what main jet size should I get? & what about if I derestrict the exhaust aswell, what jet size should I use?

its not recommended to use a open filter.
 but if you do you really need to go with a bigger carb
 you really can't de-restrict  the exhaust
 plus you really should port  the head  for the free flow of
air and go to a hard to find pipe that fits the R50x

remember if you over rev the motor your going to bust the crank
at 11,000rpm  your walking the edge add heat(lean)  or low oil
your toast.

i've had my best luck using  a 17mm carb , racing variator & sliders
and cdi

on other TGB's you can put a pipe on because they don't have
that troublesome rear disc brake.

Thanks, I just picked up a standard tgb r50x air box, looks bad but it works like a dream. I also need a belt because apparently mine is running thin? Apparently it causes top end loss, How much more top speed would I see with a new belt? Thanks
