I just bought a 2007 laser r5. I was wondering what the stock top speed is so I know weather the ring has been taken off or not. Also I was wondering what the cheapest route to go is to make it go faster but not work the engine so hard.I have read on the forums about roller weights and jets and was just wondering if the made them run at higher speeds with less rpm(less gas consumption would be great).  Are there any cheap mufflers that can make it go faster or do you have to go with the more expensive ones? Finally how many miles for tune ups and carb cleanings ect, along with how many miles these scooters usually last?

you get what you pay for a cheap pipe is a cheap pipe and will only give you a few rpms  anything you do like a pipe or cylinder or a bigger carb or jets
will up your rpms over 10-11,000 and you shorten the life of the crank.
well my 50cc with a 70cc kit  has turned over on the odometer and add 5,000
more miles.
