My 07 Sunset 50 dies when stopping most of the time. And it is hard to start after. just started happening. it only has 500 miles on it. Other than that it runs really good

i would clean the air filter element .
change the plug  every other year .
run the fuel down low and fill with new asap.
perhaps add  some seafoam .

the idle can be raised but if you haven't messed with the t.cable
, idle screw or mix screw  everything should
be at the same place when the scooter ran ok last year....
most likely its old fuel or moisture

oilyhans

Thanks for the info earlier! It still dies occasionally. Seems like some days are worse than other and during the day it changes also. It has fresh gas, a new plug (gapped correct), air cleaner is clean and have been adding seafoam to the tank also. I raised the idle a little also. I'm stumped!!! When its not having this problem it starts right up and runs excellent. We have only owned this scooter for a couple of weeks and have put almost 200 miles. This just started happening about 5 days ago. The previous owner never had any problems. They didnt ride it alot and it sat around in a garage a lot.
