top speed with parts

My 04 laser 50.....has morini engine, 70bbk, race pipe, 85 main jet, 9gr sliders, 1500rpm torque and clutch springs, partial open filter, speed limiter ring removed, rpm limiter cut....I can only go 35-40mph on it(40 on slight down hill) why what else am I missing? Are these not able to get faster? Little bit of bogging when near top speed if throttle 3/4 or more.....I was hoping for a 50-55mph beast out of this....I talked to others who say they did a bbk and removed speed limit ring and can do 50mph, I'm jealous

something is not right dude.
 i have a keywest that i  only removed the wedding ring and it goes
35-40 .
if you just put in a bigger carb you get 40-45.

Yeah I gathered that something is wrong haha....if the crank was a lil worn how much would that affect things? Thats pretty much the last moving part left to the engine that hasn't been replaced....my plug coloring is good for the 2stroke...my engine is dry so no leaks...she idles and runs up to the speeds mentioned fantasticly.....I will be down jetting to and 80....I've tried a cone filter but  would bog out and die, so put my drilled air box back on.........oh I'm not that heavy either so its not my weight keeping it slowed, only 180 haha....do have a 17/19mm carb for it somewhere but need a day off to work on it and I don't get many of them lately

all a sloppy crank does is make noise until it gives up.
it wouldn't shave off 5-8mph .

so you have a choke spot in the fuel delivery system.
 you have a open filter and a pipe  plus you up jetted.
but you still have the small 13mm carb and the stock intake
which is tiny  too.
 there are bigger intakes made for morini<AD50>  but they twist to the
right <muffler> side of the motor unlike the stock intake which goes
 to the left side.

I'm trying to figure out if my belt is the original from 2004....any clue on the stock measurement cause I can't find em....I bought one that was listed as should fit but its so small, possibly for short case engines... the width I'm getting is16mm, online I only find belts 18 or 20mm......?
