Spark plug change issue........

I want to change the spark plug on the r50x but there seems to be a space issue getting the wrench on there.  I'm using a standard 3/8''socket wrench with a 13/16" spark plug socket but there isn't enough room to get the wrench in.  I can get the socket on and I guess I could use a pair of pliers or standard wrench to turn the socket but thats ridiculous to me that there isnt enough space for a socket wrench.....

Purchased a socket wrench with an articulating head and a shorter socket and problem solved.  This really pissed me off though because it shouldnt be this way but whatever.
