Hey TGBForum!
I am now the proud owner of a 2007 Key West and was wondering if someone could help me out. I was looking to derestrict my scooter to get a little more top end out of it but I am not sure if it has already been done or not. My top speed on flat ground was 39mph (GPS verified).
Im a pretty little guy and weigh about 130, so what do you think?
Is it worth getting in there and checking to remove the washer or has it already been done?

PS. Heres a Pic of my new toy

and look. its like 8 allen head socket screws

Ok cool, thanks yeah guess I might as well check, will i be able to see it without removing the variator? its a brass washer right? and any suggestions on what weight of rollers would be a good upgrade? thanks a bunch

yes you can see it .  you will have to look from the
rear of belt and a flashlight would help.

i sell many replacement variator fans because people
knock off the fins or strip the kick gear shroud screws
so use the correct tools to remove the front half of the variator.
impact wrench ;air or electric for removing the shroud screws
and the variator nut which btw is REVERSE THREADS!

in case your new to a impact wrench do not use it
to put on  the shroud screws , use a ratchet & some thread lock -- blue or green
start the variator nut by hand tighten a bit with a ratchet till its
snug then you can use the impact wrench on the lower settings
remember if any of the screws  or nut  come loose your going
to have a bad day and maybe few parts to replace unless your lucky.

as for rollers ~~  instead i'd go with sliders  , if your still  have a stock motor  6gr - 8gr
