Exhaust side pipe

Hey guys i have a 2013 TGB bullet 50 (Australia)
I really enjoy this bike and i am slowly de-restricting it , i am a little confused with the exhaust setup.
There is a hose that comes of the exhaust and goes to a black box (looks to be just for emissions), would my bike run better if i unplugged the hose and blocked off that pipe? or would i need to cut it off completely? (i am worried that if i leave the pipe there but blocked it may create a problem with turbulence)
Also does this model have a cone that can be removed from the start of the exhaust for more flow?
Any help would be so appreciated!
 Thank you

you really should stop messing with the stock pipe.
they don't get any better plugging the tube and there is a plate
blocking the free flow of exhaust gasses.

Oh dear..... i got the idea from a tgb facebook group, many members said cut it off and my bike will run alot better.
Where is the plate stopping flow? But you suggest i just leave it alone ?
The bike revs to 10300rpm but wont go faster then 68km
Thank you very much your your reply i won't plug the pipe now

look up the  Tecnigas Silent-Pro Exhaust - Morini50
it looks like a stock pipe but its a performance pipe

baffles are in the motor side of the TGB muffler
remove pipe from muffler and stick a long screwdriver
in the hole and you should feel it

as for turbulence the welded plate on the pipe would cause
a disrupted flow of exhaust gases  ... but  how much , and will it cause
any issues  can't say
stock pipe acts different than a tuned exhaust  and bad air flow
is very critical on tuned exhausts

That technigas pipe looks like my friends stock pipe on his tgb 101s , that is cool they are interchangeable.  If i was too bolt on the silent pro would i need to do anything else?

yes and no  .
if you feel like it  add a un restricted cdi and a
bigger main jet  for more speed maybe some sliding weights...
but you can coast along without doing anything
else

An unrestricted cdi is my only modification so far :)
do you know if the technigas next r is safe to just bolt on ? i quite like the look of it , and hoping it might increase my top speed abit
I really appreciate your help , scooters are very unpopular in my small town , so support is very limmited

yes a expansion pipe does increase the torque, power band  and top end.
a bigger jet or carb is mandatory with a pipe like that.
too many people buy the racing parts and don't tune
the carb  right and blow up the motor.  so UP JET! UP JET!
buy 3 sizes main jets (75,80,85/90)because exact tuning is required.
be patient and start with your biggest jet and check your plug
color(plug chop) work down with the jets ,
next smaller, adjust carb do a chop  until you get a light chocolate brown
color on the plugs ceramic electrode .

it should work BUT: you will have to check the  fit by finding out  the
scooters that the Pro fits (there is a list) and comparing it with the Next R.
the R is much louder than the Pro  so you will attract more attention
meaning ;if the cops or the sport bike and cagers don't like scooters
they will hear you before they see you.

Ah thank you very much tor your detailed and honest replies, you are not wrong about the next r being loud! I think i will go with the pro, just to confirm, will the pro be ok with the stock jets?
And do you sell them?

be advised that possibly there maybe a small issue
and that is the disc on the rear wheel  on the R50x.
i've never fitted a pro or next r  to a R50x so i can't
say it will work. ???
