yes a expansion pipe does increase the torque, power band and top end.
a bigger jet or carb is mandatory with a pipe like that.
too many people buy the racing parts and don't tune
the carb right and blow up the motor. so UP JET! UP JET!
buy 3 sizes main jets (75,80,85/90)because exact tuning is required.
be patient and start with your biggest jet and check your plug
color(plug chop) work down with the jets ,
next smaller, adjust carb do a chop until you get a light chocolate brown
color on the plugs ceramic electrode .
it should work BUT: you will have to check the fit by finding out the
scooters that the Pro fits (there is a list) and comparing it with the Next R.
the R is much louder than the Pro so you will attract more attention
meaning ;if the cops or the sport bike and cagers don't like scooters
they will hear you before they see you.
