TGB Tapo

Hi all,
I am trying to get some information on the Tapo but not much success so far. In particular I am trying to find out if there is an unrestricted CDI unit out there somewhere that might fit. The missing wire in the six pin connecter is not in the same location as other TGB 50 cc two strokes.

Also, does anyone know what aftermarket variator and fan unit will fit?

Any advice much appreciated.

regards
Johannes

what is the motor number
usually they are stamped back by the rear wheel on
the left side of the scooter  ... look at the motor from behind the
rear wheel you will see a flat spot near the oil fill
GAXXXX or something ,,, also you will find a number on some parts
on the castings BRXX or GAXX  check the intake manifold..

i have some parts you might want like  unrestricted CDI and a TGB racing variator.
you can find service manuals here::

Hi Harry,
The number on the engine is GH5 695748.

I've attached a photo of the CDI connector, which has the missing pin in the corner.

as said i have a cdi (maybe 2 kinds) & variator, perhaps other things.
i think they should work but i need to check
the connector for sure . i'll send you a PM
when i check .. we kinda take a few days off
before we do inventory and EOY accounting.
so kinda backed up; but the good thing is
going over inventory i'll find lots of "forgotten"
stuff.

ok, I'll have to see if I can dig up some wiring diagrams and see if it's possible to change pins.

many people forget the other route to higher speed----- gearing
the R50x is the faster scooter in the 50cc TGBs it just has different gearing in the tranny
