Figured if I can't get an unlimited CDI for my bike, I need to get some heavier rollers so it revs up to 8000 slower so i can get a higher top speed.

Which rollers do i need?

rollers are 17x12
sliders  are 17x12, & you can also use 16x13

a racing variator would help too.

Right, how heavy rollers would I be needing and what does the variator do?

So far, it has been De-restricted, and has a new pipe on it. I reach the rev limit in seconds 43mph.

What variator and weights do i need?

the variator is the 'adjustable' pulley that the rollers/sliders go in.

the rollers move the variator face back and forth(open & closed)
the rollers move in a ramp  that has a 'curve' .
a racing variator has more of a radical curve  that gets the variator
open faster and is calculated to work in a higher power band.

I looked on your website, couldn't find any 8 gram dr pulley slider weights so i searched around and found some on eBay.

Along with these should I be buying the variator you have on your website?

 i've got 8 & 9 but haven't listed them .
and you can get that variator if you want.

i like to run the sliders in the stock variator and get used to that
then get the variator and see the difference it makes.

just for the heads up~ it is important to install the sliders
right. look at the picture closely!
also the nut that holds on the variator fan is reverse threads!!
so to take it OFF you have to tighten(clockwise) it.
also you need a impact wrench - air or electric .

I won't be fitting them. Will get a mechanic to do it. :)

The rollers are on their way so should have them in a week or so.

Will see how it works out and perhaps get the variator.

Also, if these sliders dont make much difference, should i be ordering heavier ones?

so you bought 8gr?
then get a 10gr set and you can mix 3 of each.
if needed you will have 8,9(when mixed)and 10gr sets..

I reach my rev limiter before i have fully twisted the throttle.

So i was told by my mechanic I need heavier rollers.

Does this mean you can mix them?

yes, 3 of each
however try to keep within  a 3gr range
eg; don't mix 5gr w/10gr  to get  7.5gr ;
8 & 10 mixed is fine to get a 9 !

Well I've just ordered some normal 10 gram roller weights which should be here in a couple of days as the seller lives in the UK. I will get these put in and see whats different.

In a week or so my Dr Pulley Slider Weights 8 gram should be here. Im only really wanting Top End as hitting the rev limit as annoying before I have even full twisted the throttle.

If this all goes to plan. do you reckon I should buy your Variator?
