TGB 303 RS leaking gas from reserve hose, now won't start

I have a TGB SCOOTER I bought used. It has a 1378 miles. I filled it up with gas, the next day it started. I went to the grocery store and it wouldn't start. Then I noticed it leaking gas out of the reserve hose. This is what I have done so far. Took carburator apart, float looked normal and it was dry. I clean the jet ( i think jet is what its called) out, Put it back together and nothing. It won't start with starting fluid. It won't start by electric button or kick start. I changed spark plug a month ago. Took it out today and it was a little wet from gas. I cleaned it put it back. I replaced fuel filter a month ago. It has an electric choke which i dont know if its good or bad. I took kick start plate off and the belt is fine. Infact it's all pretty clean and still new looking. Around the outside I have dirt and oil build up. The hose to the intake was lose and leaked. But another hose that goes from the air filter has crumbled. This hose doesn't go to the carb. It splits off and one hose goes to a black box where the spart plug is(this hose is fine) and the crumbled hose goes up to the seat and ends. Didn't look like it connected to anything. I don't know if it's important. It must be if it's on the scooter but don't know where to look for a replacement. The scooter wasn't running all that well since the day I bought it. I bought it used. So no returning it. I need to fix it. It was hard to start, didnt idle well and sputtered if I didn't let It warm up enough. I don't know much about scooters but I'm learning. Please help with some advise if possible. Yahoo Answers is a joke. The answers I got was for me to google it. No S&$@! Like I haven't been doing that already.

take a look at the manual links posted at the bottom of the
 forum home page.
i have also posted a 'how to test a auto choke'  do a site search for that.
a bad air leak will keep your scooter from starting ,loose connections or cracks
in the hoses.

i can get you any TGB part you need as i am a TGB dealer

Well I tried that and didn't see any difference. Scooter started this morning then stalled but I havent been able to get it started again. So do I need a new choke?

I did test it. I didn't see any movement. Ok so I got it started but it dies if I don't give it gas and it idles bad. So I took it out for a ride and it dies on me as I was riding it. I was going slow so I was safe. Now it won't start again. Maybe it's getting to much gas? Makes a strange noise sometimes when using the starter button. Then I smell gas. I'm not a mechanic but I don't have good luck with any vehicle I have so I'm trying to learn.

perhaps you should clean the carb again? :-\

the difference in cost between a choke and a new
carb is only about $26 ,so most guys opt  for a new bigger carb.

How much is a new carburator? I only have 1300 miles on it. Do you think I need a new carb? I can't find TGB parts online. So hard to find! So here are some bad things I found out I was doing. Not letting the scooter warm up enough before taking off. Running the scooter at full throttle. The max speed on myscooter is 42-45mph. The speed limit around here is 45-55mph. So that's the only reason I would go full throttle. Just to keep up. Could I have killed the carburator? Like I said, it all started with filling up one day, then leaking gas the next out of reserve. Since then, it's hasn't been running.

they are pricy at $120.
you can't wreck it  by going fast or not letting it warm up.

having just put fuel in the tank and then having issues  points to the
fuel,  you might have water in the tank , try some gas dryer like heet.

i'm your source for genuine TGB parts.

So I bought the heet. I checked the spark plug which is only a month and a half old and it has gas oil mixture on it. I take it that's not normal? That explains a lack of spark

its a 2 stroke ,having gas &oil  on the plug is normal   ..
however so much that it bridges the plug gap  is too much.
if so drain the carb ,clean the plug and try to get it started..
