Key West sputters, lurches, cuts out on long heavy hill climbs

My 2007 sat very long in the garage unused, and now has only 1560 miles.  When I run it, it starts great and runs at 45mph great.  But on steep hill climbs it sputters, lurches, and then cuts out and dies.  It restarts immediately but cuts out again if I am still stuck on the hill. I removed and cleaned carb, still runs great but still has same problem.
A mechanic friend suggested that I have dry rot of the head gasket (due to not running the motor enough) and that i need to replace head gasket.  Does this makes sense to you?  If so, can you sell me an original TGB head gasket?  How do I contact oilyhans for purchases, if this purchase seems correct?

well  the head gasket is made from a sheet of copper
so it will not rot...try  cleaning your carb again

oilyhans,
it seems I have two cracked intake boots that I need to replace:
1) between carb and head
2) between carb and air box

Do you have these parts that can be shipped out to me asap?
I have also sent an email to you direct to your shop.  Thanks
