Leaking oil

Hi all, I've recently got my R50x out of the shed to service etc ready for summer. As I've removed the exhaust and cylinder however, I was shocked to find a lot of oil in the cylinder and in the exhaust. Any idea the cause of this and what I can do to repair it? It hasn't emptied the oil tank so I'm guessing its just been dripping in over the months. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

your scoot has  2 oil check valves  at the top of  the motor
on the intake manifold.
 they are leaking.

you have 2 choices
just remove the excess oil and live with it ,what you don't
get out will burn off,
or remove the  valves or intake and clean the valves
which may or may not fix the problem  or replace valves.

the check valves the brass fittings  on the intake
and one on the carb with the tiny oil hose.
they all have a tiny spring and ball bearing
sometimes they get stuck open and thats how the oil gets in
the cylinder.

when the oil fills the cylinder you can't kick or use the electric start.

i did a service on a scooter once that as soon as i removed the
exhaust nuts oil came pouring out the pipe
