engine does not want turn over

i  have  a  2008  TGB  425  outback  and  when  i  go  to  start  it  it  does  not  turn  over  when  i  try  to  pull  start  it  it  is  so  hard  to  pull  it  will  pull  but  very  hard  any  sugestions  on  what  might  be  wrong

no  it  feels  like  i  am  turning  the  transmission  and  engine  all  together

Mine is now doing the same thing now that the starter is "free spinning"

Sounds like your one way clutch may be bad.
