I have posted here before about other things. I have a 2008 tgb r50x with a mollassi 70cc top end and I have checked the jets, float. It wont idle and the idle screw is turned all the way in clockwise. So is the air mix screw but im almost sure it needs a bigger pilot jet.

Thanks
Bill

I have a 80 main and a 37.5 pilot jet. Mikuni carb stock. No other mods. I also check for air leaks everywhere. I have been wanting to do a carb upgrade so do you have one in stock.

well the stock jets are  #60 &#17
so your way big at  80 & 37.5  for a stock carb
if you just go to a bigger ... 17mm  carb you will have better luck
getting it to idle.
and yes i have a couple 17mm  in stock

When I first bought this scooter used the carb had a 70 main and a 20 pilot and i have been trying to get the air mix screw out counter clockwise ever since with no luck and i was told that i needed to go up on the pilot jet to achieve this. The scooter ran better with the jets at 80 and 37 so im left scratching my head. When I first put the 70cc big bore in the idle screw was about 2 turns out and it slowly went in all the way and started the siying problem. I have checked for leaks also. Can you send me a pm with the link to the 17mm carb please?

Thanks

Plug is a ngk br8hs. When you spoke earlier about a bigger carb you said 17mm when you meant 19mm on the carb correct?

stock is  the 7 ,for slightly modded scooters  a 8 will work,
but as soon as you give it more air  or have  too small of a jet or really
out of tune you can burn it up , so a 9 is suggested for really modded scooters..
