hello there, i am a new tgb user and am having some difficulties with this bike, my last bike was a yamaha jog r, easy enough to play with, but i cant seem to de resrict this tgb, i have taken the variator out and the washer along with it, i have adjusted the fuel pin to let more fuel into the bike, i have a de restricted exhaust on it aswell, my friend told me today that it could be the circuit board? his moped had a pink wire to cut, the rev limiter, now i have looked at every single connection into the c.d.i unit and there is not 1 pink wire, i had a look on a few other tgb forums and alot said it was the brown wire, you may find this funny but all that cutting the brown wire achieved was cutting my bike out, ive now re wired the brown wire so the connection is live again, can anyone help me with what colour wire it is for the rev limiter on my tgb hawk 2012 plate? i am really struggling to find an answer on google or youtube, thanks

so you fell for the old  " cut the brown wire" trick  did you ;D
thats a oldie  moldy post from the early 2000's used to work
but  TGB changed stuff and it only works on the older scooters.

you might just install a unlimited cdi
i have some  here at the bottom of the page;

the stock cdi doesn't allow for the highest rpm even if you can cut a wire.
btw don't cut them remove them from the modular connecting block
by pressing the tab with a paper clip.

also  you have to develop higher rpms for the cdi to be able to "allow"
them .
the best ways to get more speed is to change the gearing in the tranny
or a bigger dia. variator and the old stand by cylinder , pipe and
toss the tiny 12mm  carb and go with a 17mm  carb.
