2006 R50X starts & idles fine but cannot accelerate

Please Help my r50x will start fine and run at an idle but when i rev it up to about 5k then it will bog out or try to hold at 3 k it will bog out .  I have changed the fuel filter and the petcock, am i safe in thought that if cdi was bad unit would not run at all? I am currently trying to get carb out to try clean it any advice                    Thanks Jeff

I forgot to add this started when i hit a bump then just bogged out if that helps any

 sometimes a bad plug acts like a fuel issue, you might replace it.
a clean air filter would be a good thing too.
bad connections at a modular plug like at the cdi can do weird things.
also a cdi that is on its way out  can crap out at high rpm,charge & discharge
 rate goes up with rpm .

Thank you for reply I pulled out cdi and cleaned contacts no change,   But i pulled off the air box and with help of friend used carb cleaner  giving  small spray while running after a few times it has not acted up.  I think i will try to make a habit of cleaning carb and contacts on cdi once in a while.      Thank you Jeff
