2006 TGB R50X

Just bought a TGB R50x that needed some work.

seller said he removed the carb and couldnt get anything to the engine, said it would start with starter spray but most likely needed new carb.
he gave me the old carb and I opened it up and the main jet is plugged. I would clean it, but the top part of the carb, the valve throttle, is missing. Asked him if he knew where it was, said he would look, but I don't think I'll get that piece.

So that brings me to what do if I don't get that part.

Has anyone bought another carburetor that works with the r50x? I'd like to know which ones exactly are confirmed to fit on it before I go and buy one.
Also is it possible to just order the valve throttle assembly somewhere cheaper?


And finally an unrelated question, Do the headlights only work when the engine is running? because they won't turn on at all for me in either headlamp position in on mode.

what parts are missing?
the barrel slide( throttle valve)
needle?
spring?
e clip?( for the needle)

 if the top of the carb is there your ok  since the other parts are listed
 in the parts manual 

 yes you can put on a aftermarket carb  but  you may have to replace
 the throttle cable

 some scooters  the lights work when you turn the key on ; others
when the motor starts . depends on the wiring if the lights
work off the battery or  stator  .

These parts are the ones missing, basically everything above the flat metal hole on the top of the carb.

How much would genuine TGB replacement parts for this be?
I've seen some aftermarket 2 stroke carbs for $20-30.

more than $20
 but i don't think you can find the right type carb
that is decent quality  for $20 or $30.
