problem solving tapo 50cc oil light

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and I'm troubleshooting why my oil light stays on.
The battery was flat so I've replaced the battery. Oil is coming out of the pump but seems to be getting "stuck" at the brass "valve" in the hose- when I take the hose off no oil is dripping out.
Any ideas?

pump has to be working and motor has to be on
and just a tiny drop will come out
oil light sensor maybe stuck or faulty
