Integrated turn signal bulbs R-50x??? US Model...

I have at 2007 R-50x and notice it has the sockets for the integrated turn signals yet still has externally mounted..? Just wondering what kinda bulb it takes? it's already wired; will it work? and are led bulbs available for it? I've looked pretty hard but don't know what bulb to use...

Also, I bought this scooter used and noticed the low beam bulb wasn't working well... so when I opened it up to replace I noticed someone jerry rigged it with the wrong bulb and socket... the bulb was wasted so I took it out and now the high beams and tail light don't work... are they wired in series??

I noticed this too, I believe they are 10w standard bulbs.  I have not tried swapping them in yet, I'm still using the 'external' ones that come on it.  It might be US/State regulations that require it to be setup that way?  I can't think of another reason they would set 'em up that way.
